Cigna was formed by the 1982 merger of the Connecticut General Life Insurance Company and INA Corporation. The company operates in 30 countries and manages around US$53.734 billion in assets. It offers Medicare and Medicaid products and health, life and accident insurance coverages primarily to individuals in the U.S. and selected international markets.
